Addicted to Growth: Meet, Alex Dietrich

At Imperium Elite, we’re drawn to individuals who are driven to learn something new every day. To earn desired growth, you must be a sponge, constantly hunting for fresh knowledge and to sharpen your skills. When we first met our Account Manager, Alex Dietrich, this past September, we saw this spark within him that was yearning to burn bright. It was clear from the start that having a student mentality was a no-brainer for him, and we knew he would fit right in with our team! His desire for growth is so strong that he doesn’t even bat an eye when receiving constructive criticism. 

“Without criticism, we cannot learn, and if we aren’t always learning, we cannot improve. I welcome criticism and always use it as an indication that I need to reflect, learn, grow, and improve!”

Who would choose to miss out on the opportunity to work with someone with this type of mindset? Not us!! 

Welcoming Alex to our team was one of our best decisions in 2021, and we know that big things are awaiting him this year. Before it’s time to gush over his upcoming accomplishments, we want to better introduce you to this up and comer.

At twenty-five years old, this Calgary, Canada, native is recently married, a University of Louisiana at Lafayette graduate, and a former Lego Engineer dreamer. Yes, there was once a time when Alex was passionate about “creating things for others to enjoy.” Are we shocked that he was pulled to an industry where he could instill happiness in others? Not in the slightest. Alex is a natural leader who motivates, inspires, and teaches everyone he comes into contact with. So, it’s not surprising that he was thinking of how he could better those around him, even as a child.

How does this natural people-helping-people quality play into his role at Imperium Elite? As an Account Manager, Alex helps interview candidates and acts in a leadership role.

 As someone who is very extroverted and team-oriented, he thrives helping others and believes collaborating with your peers maximizes everyone’s potential! He sees the opportunity our industry offers and loves being able to provide others with the chance to reach their maximum potential.

Before transitioning to sales, Alex worked in the oil/gas industry. With the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, he was led to look for a career elsewhere. When introduced to our business, the things that really drew him to say yes to our job offer were our company culture and atmosphere, one where “being around like-minded and highly-driven individuals will foster growth.”

Alex, how has your career grown since your first day?

I have seen tremendous personal and professional growth as a direct result of the Management Development Program.

What are you looking forward to this year?

This year, I am really looking forward to perfecting my craft and building a team of hard-working entrepreneurs.

What value is most important to you in a candidate?

A winning mindset.

Share one piece of advice for someone just starting their career?

What is your favorite thing about our company?

The culture and the opportunity. Being surrounded by diverse, highly skilled, and influential people makes me want to improve and compete on their level every single day.

Failure to plan = planning to fail.

What are your short-term and long-term goals?

Short-term goals:  

• Learn something new every day 

• Open & run a tier 1 office 

• Buy my first home 

Long-term goals: 

• Give back to those who have given so much to me 

• Retire my wife and me in Italy

What is your greatest skill?

I am articulate and assertive.

What is your greatest accomplishment to date?

The relationship I have with my incredible wife.  

How do you measure your performance and success?

I measure this by getting 1% better every single day. Success is a byproduct of hard work and continuous improvement.

Name an important lesson someone has taught you?

A wise man once told me that my goals need to be so big that they scare me awake every morning.

Who inspires you?

My father. He came from nothing, and through hard work and perseverance, he managed to dominate his industry and provide an opportunity for our family.

We weren’t kidding when we said that inviting Alex to join our Imperium Elite family was one of our 2021 top moments! He is the exact type of person we want to work side by side with throughout the upcoming years. Account Manager today – business owner tomorrow!
