Meet Pacesetter, Kearstin Apodaca

If we had to describe our company, Imperium Elite, in a word, it would be welcoming. We welcome new opportunities, we welcome challenges, we welcome knowledge, and best of all, we welcome individuals to our team who are self-driven and eager to grow.

This past June, Kearstin Apodaca joined our Imperium Elite family. From the first time we spoke with her, we knew that she would be an asset to our team, and offering her a position within our ranks was a no-brainer. At twenty-two years old, Kearstin is impressively dedicated to building her skills and, in turn, her career. As a Sales Account Manager, she is in a position where she can really dive headfirst into learning, and trust us, she’s taking full advantage! With a goal of earning a promotion to a Platinum Level Consultant, she knows that what she does today has lasting effects.

As someone who is moving up within our company quickly, we thought it pertinent to take some time to shed light on Kearstin’s professional journey and winning mindset. To be the best version of yourself, you have to be surrounded by those whose habits you want to emulate. Take it from us, Kearstin is someone you want by your side as you work to improve!

Originally from Gillette, Wyoming, Kearstin is a dog mom of two who once dreamt of being a Marine Biologist. For many of us, our path into adulthood isn’t always a straight line, and that’s the truth here. While she may no longer share the same passions as she did as a kid, her desire to be a source of help to others remains. Her resilient attitude has served her well as she’s worked hard developing her skill sets and building her career.

Now, let’s hear directly from Kearstin and dive further into the leadership qualities that have set her on a winning journey!

Kearstin, can you describe your leadership style?

I am a pacesetter leader. Pacesetting leadership pushes the team to hit goals and accomplish business objectives. It promotes high-energy and dynamic work environments.

Would you say you are more team or independently motivated?

I’m both!

What was it about Imperium Elite that pulled you to say YES to our job offer?

What brought me to the company was the opportunity for growth and the positive work environment.

What’s your favorite thing about working with us?

My favorite thing about Imperium Elite is the family culture, and I love the people I get the opportunity to work with.

Can you name three values that you wish to see in a teammate?

The values that are important to me in a teammate are a strong work ethic, integrity, and a killer student mentality.

How has working with us encouraged your professional growth?

I have continued to grow into a better person since being coached professionally and personally on the habits that are required to be successful.

Let’s shift focus slightly and talk about your short-term and long-term goals!

My short-term goal is to continue to raise my leadership lid. My long-term goal is to provide the same opportunity that was given to me and start a program that reaches out to kids in small communities that helps guide them down a path of success.

Wow! While we’re not surprised that your goals are focused on helping others, it’s still great to read!!

What’s the best piece of advice you have for someone just starting their career?

The best advice I have for someone trying to start a career is to go for it and surround yourself with the people who are where you want to be.

We are thrilled that you chose us as a resource to guide you through your professional journey. Would you recommend others to do the same?

I would entirely recommend this career path for new leaders. Imperium Elite offers the training and support needed to be successful.

Thank you so much for these kind words!

How do you measure your performance?

I measure my performance by competing with myself and striving to do better than what I did yesterday and making sure that what I do daily aligns with my goals and where I want to be.

As leaders, we often have to provide others with constructive criticism. How well do you respond to feedback?

I respond to criticism with an open mind and use the opportunity to learn.

Share a lesson that you learned from someone close to you.

My dad has helped me learn that the past is the past, and it does not equal your future. You need to do the best that you can with whatever it is that you’re doing at that moment.

“My best advice to others looking to overcome their circumstances is to keep going! You are going to fail more times than you succeed; it is not about failure. It’s about what you learned from that situation that you can take with you next time.”

Kearstin is a great example of an authentic leader who is focused on the long-term growth and success of herself and her team. We are proud to have her as a part of our Imperium Elite family and know that her strong mindset and work ethic will lead us to our most successful year yet! Kearstin, thank you for shining a light on your winning attitude. We appreciate you and look forward to celebrating your many accomplishments over the months to come!
